#PubSecStation – February 12, 2026

Jessica does not look patient. As a matter of fact, when the seconds stretch on she only seems to be getting less patient as it begins to settle in just how bad this is. Letting them restrain her was a bad idea. A few heavy breaths escape her and her shoulders angle back as she pulls at the cuffs in frustration, squirming a bit in her seat. "What you are doing, you fucks?!" she shouts and plants a stiff kick against the back of

the front seat.

The kinetic barrier flares up in a shimmer in response to the kick, Jessica's foot not even jostling the seat on the other side of it, but the two cops both look her way - clearly the soundproofing is only one-way. "Settle down," the driver orders before his eyes return to the road. The woman next to him is typing on her omni-tool.

Yan Sun startles as Jessica kicks and shouts. "Jessica!" she calls out. "It's gonna-... it's gonna be fine. They're just taking us to be questioned," she assures, even though she looks more than a little freaked out herself. That same, intensely thoughtful look never quite leaves her eyes.

Jessica merely scowls at Yan Sun, her attempts at calming things down only seeming to further enrage Jessica and her focus returns right back to their captors. "Fuck you! Why you don't come and make me?! Mm?!" she taunts, launching another pair of ineffective kicks against the barrier. "Bitch!"

The driver ignores Jessica, but does reach over to press a button on the car's haptic interface dashboard. Nighttime Hong Kong continues to pass by the windows outside.

Yan Sun lets Jessica carry on, focus turned back to her own thoughts as she stares out the window, troubled frown etched into her face.

Jessica chuckles as the officer pointedly ignores her. "Mm. This is what I thought! You are a fucking bitch!" she continues to taunt. Seeming to realize that her attacks on the barrier aren't causing much of a disruption, she decides to change tactics. Shifting slightly onto her side she leans back, pressing against Yan Sun as she does, and launches a few kicks at the door and window.

No barrier there. Her actions receive a swift response as the woman in the passenger seat barks "Hey! Stop or get zapped!" over the car speakers, finger hovering over a button on her omni-tool.

Yan Sun winces and shoves her shoulder against Jessica's back. "Jess! That's not gonna do anything! Please stop!"

Jessica barks another, "Fuck you!" and it's unclear if it's in response to the officer or Yan Sun because she's far too busy launching another set of kicks against the door to clarify.

The female officer presses a button on her omni-tool, and with a faint crackle and a buzz, something in the backseat electrifies, sending a current through the both of them strong enough to put an abrupt stop to the kicking, lasting several seconds before releasing.

Yan Sun lets out a loud, surprised cry of pain, convulsing against the seatbelt until the current stops and she slumps bonelessly against the seat.

Jessica's body seizes up, jaw clenching as a pained sound escapes her. Given her angled position, once the stun stops she ends up slumped back against Yan Sun. She draws a few deep, heavy breaths that slowly grow into a defiant laugh. "This is it?!" she calls out to the officers, twisting in place to better look to Yan Sun. "We should go again, yes?"

Yan Sun 's head is slumped away from Jessica, obscuring her face, but interrupting loud breaths is a quiet sob. Her left hand spasms and twitches against the cuffs, fingers curled up.

Jessica continues to breathe heavily as she studies Yan Sun. But soon her antagonistic grin slowly begins to slip away and she swallows hard. "Kitty cat...?" she says, nudging Yan Sun with her shoulder. There's a sudden realization that Yan Sun may not have taken it quite has well as she has, given all of her tech, and she begins to squirm in her seat to sit back up, blindly feeling for the seatbelt latch to release herself. Once freed,

she brings a knee up onto the seat so she can better look over Yan Sun, panic beginning to take hold of her features.

"Don't make me zap you again," comes from the front when the officers notice Jessica unbuckling her seatbelt.

Yan Sun lifts her head to meet Jessica's gaze with a shaky breath. There are tears running down her cheek, making her mascara run a bit. There's no glow in her left eye, and there's a tiny flinch of pain whenever her hand spasms. She looks rattled, a chaotic mix of emotions on her face - fear, guilt, anger, exhaustion. "Please stop," she repeats quietly, equal parts desperation and frustration in her voice.

Jessica's panic only seems to increase as Yan Sun's state becomes clear to her. "No, no!" she's quick to call out when the officer threatens her again. "She is hurt, you fucks!" she says, her gaze briefly shooting up towards the front seat before returning right back to Yan Sun. Not wanting the officers to perceive her kneeling on the seat as another sign of defiance, she settles onto her backside once more. "What is wrong, kitty cat?!"

she asks, concern uncharacteristic of her seeping into her tone. "You are okay?!"

The pair in the front seats offer no response to Jessica's calls, but there's no zap.

Yan Sun nods stiffly, sitting up straighter, but the spasming continues. "I'm-" A hiss. "Y-Yeah. I think something... overloaded. Just... ngh, hurts," she says, shooting her a reassuring look - or her best attempt at one between the flinches. Jessica's concern seems to have sapped most of her frustration.

Jessica's frown remains even as her panic subsides and she settles against the seat, leaning her shoulder against the back, one leg partially up on the seat so she can at least somewhat face Yan Sun. "Don't do that!" she chastises through a scowl. What the 'that' in question might be is left up to interpretation.

Yan Sun looks confused, pretty clearly still shaken by the electric shock. "What...?" she asks quietly, a sniffle following, unable to do much about her tears and the runny nose that comes with them in her handcuffed state.

The car starts to pull into a parking structure attached to a white building labeled 'Hong Kong Public Security' in holographic text, a large blue shield accompanying the text. Perhaps dealing with Jessica's seatbelt situation was deemed more trouble than it was worth given their imminent arrival at their destination.

Jessica's frown deepens momentarily at Yan Sun's question before quickly slipping away. When the world outside begins to darken once they pull into the parking structure her attention shoots to the windows and she rises up at attention, like a startled animal, trying to see what's going on. Seemingly realizing they're just pulling into their destination, she settles back down. With little regard to assigned seating, she shifts up

against Yan Sun, unable to provide any more comfort than that with her restraints.

The car comes to a stop, and both officers leave the vehicle, heading to their respective backseat door. Outside in the parking garage sit several other PubSec cars, most wheeled but a few skycars. An entrance to the station casts bright light into the otherwise dimly lit concrete structure.

Yan Sun leans slightly against Jessica, quietly repeating her earlier promise of "I'll fix this," before the doors open.

The female officer grabs Jessica and pulls her roughly out of the car, while on the other side the male officer helps a wobbly Yan Sun to her feet.

Jessica allows herself to be pulled out of the car, stumbling to her feet with an unbothered snort before casting a glance back over her shoulder, unable to directly look at the officer that just tased her. "It was good for you, too, slut?" she gets right back to taunting now that Yan Sun is out of the line of fire.

The officer doesn't acknowledge Jessica's taunting directly, but it probably has something to do with the harshness of her grip as she leads her by the arm and shoulder. "Get moving," she says sharply.

Jessica cackles to herself as she's led forward. "You really should not have shocked her." she drawls, her words sounding far more like a threat than an honest attempt at lecturing. She continues for a few more steps before locking her body up without warning to force the officer to bump into her. Once that gap between them closes, she leans forward and jerks her head back, attempting to slam it into the officer's head with as much

force as she can muster.

The woman lets out a muffled curse that goes untranslated as Jessica's head slams into her and her grip loosens. By the car, the male officer, who has not yet started to bring Yan Sun into the station, springs into action, rushing towards the two of them.

Yan Sun looks caught off-guard by what's going on, stretching to try and see past the car.

Jessica thrashes, yanking her arm free and pivots on the ball of her foot, rotating towards the woman. "You are not so tough without your toy, mmm?" she grunts, dipping down low to slam her shoulder into the officer's upper body in an attempt at bowling her over.

The female offices braces in time to just barely remain on her feet, although she certainly has the air knocked out of her. Before Jessica can capitalize on that, however, her partner arrives to pull cuffed woman back, both of them quickly moving to restrain her together, one gripping each arm tightly. Meanwhile, the two mechs activate and start to unfurl, alerted to the struggle.

Yan Sun watches the scuffle with a restless, uncertain, slightly disoriented look. The mech suddenly standing up next to her makes her jump back in surprise.

Jessica sends a kick out towards the woman as she's pulled back. She continues to thrashes into the pair of officers as they regain control of her arms. If nothing else, she's not making their job easy. When it's clear she's not breaking free, another bout of laughter escapes her. "Fucking bitch!" she shouts.

The female officer snorts. "Really felt like you had to add a few more charges, didn't you?" she asks, twisting Jessica's arm enough to send a sharp jolt of pain as the two of them roughly lead her into the station, leaving Yan Sun to be babysat by the mechs until an officer can get to her. The garage station entrance seems to bypass the lobby, leading instead to a corridor that Jessica is brought down along.

Jessica doesn't particularly understand how a functional justice system works anyway. So, as far as she's concerned, bring as many charges as you can! Bring all the charges! Charge her up! "Mm. Is a crime to headbutt a dumb bitch?" she asks, stumbling a bit as her arm is jerked. "When I-..." she pauses, teeth clenching as a sharp pain surges through her arm. "...When I am getting out of here? I am going to fuuuck you up." she assures.

The officers mostly ignore Jessica's threats and insults over the next hour, at least two always keeping her under control as her arrest is logged, her ID and personal information is retrieved from her omni-tool, she is subjected to a full-body scan of her likeness, and finally placed in a barren room with nothing but two chairs, a camera, and a simple, sturdy table to which Jessica is cuffed, and then left alone.

Jessica does everything in her power to make it the most painstaking hour of the officers' career. She's unhelpful, belligerent, disrespectful and, frankly, not very pleasant! The barren room, unfortunately, offers little in the way of menacing, so she merely sits in her seat, using her foot to drag the other chair over to her to use as a makeshift footrest, scowl etched into her features. After a couple of minutes, what little patience

she's able to muster up quickly begins eroding. "Come on! What I am waiting here for?!" she shouts at the camera as she flips it off.

It's hard to say how much time passes in the empty room. Half an hour? An hour? Two hours? There's no way to tell time, just sterile walls, harsh overhead lights, and the glow of the door's haptic interface. Occasionally there's muffled sounds of conversation from somewhere outside, but little else. Eventually, however, the door opens... "-attacked Yeung! I really don't see how we can just let her go," an agitated voice says from somewhere

outside the room, seemingly to the officer that opened the door, an unfamiliar man in his late twenties. He responds with a shrug, looking off to the side at someone out of view from the doorway. "Our hands are tied, you heard the Captain."

Jessica eventually seems to accept that nobody on the other side of the camera is going to respond to her threats and insults, and so her enjoyment wanes. In time, she merely settles into a nap, leaning to her side so she can put her head on the table, legs propped up on the second chair, only occasionally popping up at the sound of muffled chatter. Drifting in and out makes the whole thing feel even longer, with little way of telling

the passage of time. When the door opens, she lifts her head from the table, eyes blinking away her confusion. "What the fuck took you so long?" she growls.

The officer ignores the question to instead announce that "Ms. Kaya? You're being released." as he steps into the room, approaching the table. He doesn't exactly seem pleased with the fact, but... resigned. Somewhere outside someone storms off, presumably the owner of the agitated voice.

Jessica furrows her brows, suspicion painted on her face at first. She rises from her seat, watching the officer as he approaches. Yan Sun must've done something. That much is obvious. She lifts her hand, the other end of the cuffs clanking against the table they're locked to. She cocks an eyebrow, expression turning smug as she studies the man expectantly and giving her wrist a little shake.

The officer maintains a dry, deadpan expression as he unlocks the cuffs without a word and steps back, leaving the way to the door clear.

Jessica rubs at her wrist and gives a roll of her shoulders, working out the tightness that has settled in during her time in this room. She looks the man over, as if sizing him up. "Your friend? She is lucky I did not break her fucking jaw for what she did." she says matter-of-factly, seemingly aware enough despite her nap to at least put together whatever the complaint of the other officer was about. Without bothering to wait for a

response she starts towards the door.

The officer's lip twitches slightly, hostility obvious in his eyes, but he remains where he is as she leaves the room. When Jessica emerges into the corridor, she is met with two people standing there waiting. One of them is Yan Sun - she too is uncuffed, her left hand stuffed into the pocket of her vest. She looks utterly exhausted, and more than a little uncomfortable, standing stiffly, with a defeated slump to her shoulders, staring

distractedly at the floor until she notices Jessica, relief softening her troubled expression and the faintest echo of a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth as her eyes lift to her. Next to her stands a broad-shouldered, muscular man with tightly cropped black hair, an earpiece, and sleek blue holo-glasses. He's wearing a tailored black suit, the fabric of which, when the lights of the station hits it just right, shimmers with a faint

hexagon pattern. Armor weave. His hands are clasped in front of him as he stands rigid, waiting.

Jessica doesn't even register the suited man as out-of-place at first. As far as he's concerned, it's just another officer here to escort them out. She, too, is looking a bit exhausted, but her mood noticeably shifts as she catches sight of Yan Sun, smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. She bridges the gap, smile widening despite herself, and brings a hand to Yan Sun's side. Her other hand moves to her chin, lifting it so she can

press a quick kiss against her lips, unbothered by the audience. "You are okay...?" she asks.

Yan Sun wraps her right arm around Jessica, pulling her into a one-armed hug after the kiss. "I'm fine," she says in a tone that doesn't sound all that fine, relishing the closeness for just a moment. "Are you?"

The man in the suit watches impassively.

Jessica nods, furrowing her brow as if it should go without saying that she can take care of herself. "Let's get out of this fucking place." she says as she steps back. She shoots a glance to the large man, as if in a silent order for him to escort them out. She only now seems to take in his whole getup. The decidedly uncop-like suit equipped with what must be expensive tech. A frown creeps against the edge of her mouth and her

attention shifts back to Yan Sun in a silent question.

Yan Sun steps back, the discomfort returning in full force as she lets go of Jessica. With a glance at the large man next to her she says in a low voice: "This is Mr. Wong... my father's chief of security. He's going to take us... home."

The man offers Jessica a nod of acknowledgement after being introduced, his expression made all the harder to read by his opaque glasses.

Jessica's expression turns sour as Yan Sun mentions her father, well aware that this is not a position she wants to be in. She pokes at the backside of her piercing with the tip of her tongue as she studies Yan Sun and her eyes flick towards the man beside them. "Is fine. We can walk." she says, gaze turning back towards Yan Sun as she backpedals a step down the hall, nodding for her to follow.
