#FreedomFalls – March 11, 2026

Natalie looks is clearly in a lot of pain. "Quarter clip, maybe," she says, her voice quite strained. "The... psycho just held me in the air and unloaded." There is not much more than can be done beyond what the squish skin has already done without surgery. "And something is-..." she grits her teeth and gestures at her collar and ribs before bringing the hand down again. It's hard to assess the damage there without

taking off her armor. "My back's... fucked somewhere up here, but..." She takes a few panting breaths. "At least... I could send the message."

The downed asari is still not moving.

The restrained batarian remains where he is, opting not to test the integrity of the pipe he's restrained to.

Sala's shuttle is not out of Freedom Falls' outskirts, but still within its territory, the gunship keeping pace. "They're not transmitting any data that I can see," she reports back. After a few seconds the gunship stops accelerating and starts slipping behind. "I'm getting orders to pull back."

Jason bites down on his frustration, feeling quite deflated as he watches the shuttle through the front windshield. "Copy." he responds, well aware that exploding at the militia won't solve anything. They have their orders. Closing the comms channel, his head dips a bit. "Alright. Looks like it's just us, Jasper. Stay on them as long as you can and reach out. Maybe Piros is in a chatty mood..."

Jasper nods wordlessly, remaining in the wake of the escaping shuttle as best as he can. His hands tap at the interface as he attempts to hail the fleeing shuttle, requesting an open comms channel. He can't help but feel a bit of Jason's mood rubbing off on him. Being so close with no options just makes it all the more frustrating. They're right there!

Leah sets the cannister of medi-gel down beside her, offering a nod to Natalie's words as she looks over the wound as best as she can. "Just hold on, medical is on its way." she says, her focus on the wound. "I'm gonna get some of this armor off you, alright? How about you tell me about this message you sent." she continues, both hoping to keep Natalie talking in an attempt at keeping her conscious and getting whatever info she

can while she can in case Natalie's condition goes south quickly.

Celyna lets out a winded chuckle. "Fine," she replies to the turian, remaining on her knees for a moment longer before drawing a deep breath of crisp winter air and getting back on her feet. She cranes her neck a little to take a better look at the downed runner. "Gonna see if she's still breathing..."

Zaylus quirks his head over to follow her gaze down, "Yeah... unless you find a ladder, I'll be staying up here." He remarks a little apprehensively, stepping away from the ledge. He moves to go investigate the hole in the roof, curious if he can get inside the building. Either way he'll wait for some direction before doing anything else.

Victoria was trying everything in her power not to scream. She should've been smart enough to keep her pistol, and now because of her stupidity in the moment, the one person she loves is being taken away and all she can do is stand in a shuttle.

Philip remains silent, looking towards the cockpit of the shuttle.

Natalie nods at the question before closing her eyes. "It's a single-use SOS to Wenera's... people, but... the terminal was doing a lot of stuff when I... clicked se.....eeehnd.". She takes a few shallow breaths. The wound is hard to assess, because of the damaged armor plating. After another few seconds. "She said... destroy it aft....er send." She closes her eyes for a second before forcing them open again.

The downed asari remains completely still. It'd take a closer examination to know for sure.

The militia gunship breaks off, away from the trajectory of either shuttle.

The hole in the roof is large enough for a turian to get down, though it is a 2.6m/8.5ft drop. The room below is a mess of broken furniture, pieces of the roof and dust that used to be a living room.

The hostile shuttle accepts the call, and Sala's voice comes through. "You had your chance, Wolfe," she says, her voice clearer than when they spoke in the ruined farmhouse last year. "I would have kept up my end of the bargain."

Celyna snorts, unholstering her pistol. "Have fun," she says, sitting down on the edge and slipping off until she's hanging by her left arm in order to minimize the drop. She lets go, using her biotics to slow her fall enough to let her land on her feet, raising her gun and keeping it aimed at the motionless asari as she approaches. "Hey, asshole. You dead?" she calls out, giving her a nudge with the toe of her boot.

The smoke on the roof is now mostly gone.

Jason props up whatever confidence he can, snorting at the asari's taunts. "Right. 'My chance'. Do what you say, or else? That chance? Nah, pretty happy with my decision there." he responds, one hand resting on the back of Jasper's seat. "Call me crazy, but taking on a job for some psychopath that just tried to kidnap my friend didn't exactly sound like it was in my best interest. But how about this: I'm gonna give you one last

chance to put an end to this. Just set down the shuttle and let them go-..." he shrugs, the act practically audible in the pause in speech, "...and we go our separate ways. No harm, no foul. And I know that probably sounds like a bad idea given all the work you've put in this morning to get this far, but hear me out... I'm sure you've done your homework on me and my people. That means you have to know that we're not gonna

just let this go. So the only other way this ends is with me killing you and the rest of your little crew. Do the smart thing here, Piros. Nobody else has to die."

Leah opens the medi-gel in case any is needed as she works and begins to carefully remove Natalie's armor plating. She nods along as she listens, trying to keep the woman's focus on talking. "Wenera's people?" she repeats, "What can you tell me about them?"

Zaylus carefully kneels next to the hole in the roof, considering the drop. He looks reluctant to take it, glancing back a the ledge where Celyna went over. "Leah, you need a hand in the building?" He offers simply over the comms, waving away the remnants of smoke as he tries to peer inside without falling.

Victoria stops herself from verbally abusing Sala over the comms, deciding to let Jason handle the conversation would be the better option instead of having an angry former pirate talk to the kidnapper.

Philip just listens in on the conversation with the hostile shuttle.

07:07am (21m)

There's no answer to Celyna's question. Her helmet, which has a large crack in it, fully covers her head; and she is lying face down on ground.

The militiawoman that tried to charge the shuttle earlier now biotically jumps over to the roof of the building, while the sky-car gets back up in the sky to slowly circle the area. While Zaylus might not recognize her, Vasquez should recognize her as Mian T'Veki if she watches the live feed of Zaylus' helmet camera. Her only weapon is a holstered Carnifex pistol. "Militia," she says as she approaches the turian. "Commander

Arius wants to know if there's gonna be more of these hits."

Sala's shuttle keeps accelerating and getting further away, though it holds the same vector. It is also still gaining altitude, albeit slowly. "Oh, we will go our separate ways," she says with a laugh in her voice. "I just need your asari as leverage for a while, a few weeks maybe. You'll even get her back unharmed if you're nice."

Natalie looks pained as the armor plating is rmoved. The black undersuit has some tears that are slick with medi-gel and blood. Removing the plates don't reveal the back injury she's speaking about; she is sitting against a wall and has to be moved for that to be checked on. "Hm?" she asks, her words getting more and more slurred as she continues. "Friends... Matriarch Ma...-something, she... almost said her name one

time. Krogan... that... I think she's... in love with. Asari hardass... name was... uh... Siv." She continues breathing shallowly.

Celyna presses the barrel of her Carnifex against the back of the runner as she crouches down on one knee to remove her helmet and check if she's breathing.

Jason does not look amused. He looks quite the opposite of amused. "Awfully confident of you to plan out the next few weeks. I'd put my credits on you being in the ground in the next few hours." Realizing that Piros seems to have no intention of backing down, he switches gears a little. "That goes for you, too, pilot. Salarian, right?" he asks in an attempt to let it be known that he got eyes on them, his smirk audible in

his voice, "Yeah, I saw you. You should probably try to keep better company. But you don't have to die in someone else's fight. Set the shuttle down and we'll let you walk, you have my word." Appeal to a potential weaker link. Grasping at straws? Maybe.

Jasper swallows, focused look growing concerned as the shuttle continues to widen the gap between them. He mutes the line so he can speak freely over comms to keep Vasquez and the others updated. "We're losin' 'em." he says, passing an apologetic glance Jason's way, "Militia pulled back, too, so we're runnin' outta options. But their shuttle ain't fit fer space flight, so they're either gettin' picked up somewhere, or they ain't

plannin' on leavin' Aite. Can Fergus use their vector to get us a list a' destinations they might be scurryin' off to?" he asks. It's a longshot since they could be setting down in a field for pickup for all he knows, but it's better than nothing.

Leah tosses aside the plating she's removed, allowing it to rattle across the ground. "I'm juggling wounded and a captive so I haven't had a chance to properly clear the building yet. I could definitely use another set of eyes in here." All of the medi-gel and blood causes concern to settle in and a quiet, 'Merde' slips out. "Hey, stay with me!" she urges, giving Natalie a little jostle. She's no doctor, so it's unlikely she

can do much for whatever is wrong with her back, but it's still worth taking a look just in case there's an open wound that the woman's suit was unable to address. She brings a hand to each of Natalie's shoulders. "So-... so this message was an SOS you said?" she continues as she attempts to gently lean Natalie forward so she can get a better look at her back, "Does that mean they have a way to track Wenera's movements?"

Zaylus quickly rises to his feet as the militiawoman approaches, accidentally knocking a few small chunks of debris into the hole. He shakes his head, sighing tightly. "I don't know." He admits. Thinking better of leaving it at that, he reaches back onto the comms, "Militia wants to know if we're expecting more targets. What should I tell em?" Leah's reply comes through and he hisses,

annoyed by his own hesitance. He sits on the edge of opening, angling for the best way to drop in while waiting for a response to the militia's concern.

Victoria snaps at Piros' words. "A FEW WEEKS! I'll put that cunt in the ground before that." She stops herself from letting out anymore, knowing that letting her emotions get the better of her in this situation might not be for the best.

Linda (Comms): "Fergus is calculating potential destinations now. Keep eyes on them, with any luck they'll have to set down before you lose visual. Velrin, I don't have the answer to that any more than they do. Tell them to stay on that fucking shuttle if they want answers."

Philip is still just... along for the ride. He fidgets a little in his seat, frustrated at feeling useless at the moment. He doesn't exactly have any means of grounding a fleeing shuttle.

Celyna successfully removes the helmet and can finally see that the asari is not breathing.

The enemy shuttle keeps flying without any sign of slowing down. "It'll be minutes if you guys don't fuck off soon, and not in a way you'd like it to go," she says, without any laugh in her voice this time. "Don't test me on that." She terminates the call.

Natalie groans as she is jostled, and she tries to speak, but her words are not clear enough to be understood. She is still breathing, however.

Mian circles the hole, and her expression hardens when she sees Natalie down there. "Shit, not her too," she mutters under her breath.

The hospital's shuttle is traveling quickly towards the site now as the gunship comes in over the outskirts of the town. It'll probably go in for a landing in a little over a minute.

There is clear ground right below Zaylus, and there is a metal beam along the nearest side of the hole that he can hang off of to shorten the drop.

((Replace The post with scene))

Celyna lets out a "Hmh", and starts picking the dead asari's armor clean of any valuables - and her omni-tool, of course. She doesn't report in just yet.

The extrapolated trajectory doesn't intersect any mapped destinations before it's over open ocean off the west coast of the continent.

Natalie does have some broken bones that are visible on the back of her shoulder, multiple ribs and her shoulderblade has been broken. The medi-gel has not numbed the pain there.

((*The undersuit has not applied medi-gel there. [-The medi-gel...]))

Jasper draws in a deep breath. "Was that a threat to crash the shuttle if we don't back off...? We callin' her bluff?" he asks, eyes still on his readouts.

Jason opens his mouth to respond when the call dies, frustration once more seeping into his expression. He falls silent for a moment, considering their (lack of) options. "I mean-... I can't see how crashing her own shuttle would do anything for her. Not to mention it's not just her in there. Can't imagine her pilot is gonna be too pleased with plan, 'Kill ourselves if we don't get what we want', right? And if she went though all

this trouble because she needs Va'ynna 'for leverage'-..." he tilts his head this from one side to the other, as if internally weighing everything, "...I don't see how letting her go down in a shuttle is gonna do much to further her goals if Piros plans on surviving the crash." he says.

Jasper nods along, his nods getting more confident as Jason makes his case, but that confidence quickly drains from him. "On the other hand... she don't seem like she's playin' with a full deck a' cards, so..." he shrugs.

Jason concedes with a dip of his head, nodding a few times in turn. "Yeah... Yeah, there is that..." he sighs.

Leah winces as she spots the visibly shattered bones through Natalie's undersuit. Unfortunately, compromising the undersuit more than it has already been to apply medi-gel to the site seems like a bad idea, so she's just going to have to push through the pain for now. The undersuit and copious amounts of medi-gel might be the only thing holding everything in place. "Alright..." she mutters, gently leaning Natalie back against the

wall, "...shouldn't be much longer. Just-... stay with me, okay?" she repeats, "You were-... you were at the Respite last night, right? Tell me about that." she forces a smile, attempting to keep the woman talking. The voices filtering through the gaping hole in the apartment's ceiling causes her to tilt her head that way, doing her best to stay alert in case anyone else is lurking in the building. Once she's sure nobody is

about to run up on her, she returns her focus to Natalie. "What were you guys doing there? Just-... having a night out?"

Zaylus grimaces, "Copy that." He replies, clearly having hoped someone knew more than him. "We have no idea if they'll strike again." He declares through his helmet mic, "Your help chasing them down would certainly be appreciated." He tempers Vasquez's message as he takes hold of the exposed metal beam, lowering himself down into the shorter drop. He lands and orients himself, debris

crunching underfoot as he takes in the scene of the apartment.

Victoria | Vicky's omni-tool bleeps back with a message, it's Austin responding that it will be at least an hour before the Siren can get airborne. "Jason, it will be an hour before I can bring out the heavy hitter." Listening to Jasper and Jason for the moment. "Sounds like she is willing to kill Va'ynna. If that happens, I am hunting her down like a varren."

Linda (Comms): "No obvious destination with their current trajectory. Unless they're hoping to leave the continent."

Philip swallows and looks to Victoria. "I-... I don't know, she said she needed her, right? That means we have time to get her back," he says, trying to sound encouraging.

Celyna would be able to find the omni-tool and a credit chit with 2,000 credits on it on the armor. There's 2 things of clips, 5 spare suit batteries, 1 flashbang and 3 smoke grenades, too, if such is considered valuable to her. Her weapon, a Shuriken SMG, is on the ground some distance away. The medium armor itself could also fetch a decent price if the full-body cloak still works. The sky-car circling above might see Celyna,

however, as it passes above a point further south down the road.

The shuttle shows no sign of altering course yet, and keeps ascending and gaining speed.

Mian nods, but she looks disappointed at the news, before she walks away from the hole towards the edge. "They don't know either," she speaks into their comms. "The site is secure. Redrock's got that covered. Patient is Natalie Wood; human; didn't get a closer look." (There's a break between each sentence as she is answering someone else.)

Natalie doesn't show much reaction to being put back against the wall other than a soft moan. "There... was an.... asari, wanted to... go out" she says. "Nalota didn't... like her...." The next words she says doesn't come out clearly enough to be understood.

The hospital shuttle gets down to a very low hover by the front door, and its doors open. The front door is still acting up, and the broken window is not large enough to get a stretcher through comfortably. The door shouldn't be hard to kick down or destroy with biotics, however.

The apartment itself is still clear, and the terminal screen still on. The ceiling light next to the hole is still working by some miracle. The batarian looks up at the turian who just dropped in, but doesn't ay anything.

The hallway just inside the door is clear, and the batarian's weapon (M-15 Vindicator) is still lying on the floor at the bottom of the staircase.

Celyna pockets all of it, and then makes her way over to the dropped weapon to secure that as well, checking if it's still operational and flipping the safety before attaching it to her hip. "Runner's dead, must've cracked something vital trying to keep her from getting away," she reports in over comms as she stands to wander back towards the entrance just in time to see the ambulance touch down.

Holly rushes out of the ambulance shuttle with a collapsed hover-stretcher alongside the same asari paramedic that retrieved RC from Leah's house. The latter gets to work on the door as soon as it becomes obvious that it's going to be an obstacle, wasting no time in ripping it open with her biotics. Holly, meanwhile, looks to Celyna - Halisi said the sight was secure, so she must be militia or Redrock. "What's the situation?"

Celyna shrugs. "Fuck if I know. One you're looking for is probably upstairs."

Holly frowns. "And the one in the alley?"

Celyna glances back towards where she came. "Uh, dead. And hostile."

Holly doesn't seem thrilled, but hurries after the asari paramedic once the doors are open, both of them rushing upstairs to the apartment number that Vasquez gave them.

(*site)

Jasper continues to follow behind the shuttle. But when Vasquez' report comes in, he speaks up. "So we're flyin' blind. No idea where they're goin' and, if it ain't nearby, we're gonna lose 'em eventually. If it is nearby?" he passes a glance Jason's way, the words that follow hesitant, well aware that his boss isn't going to like it, "...We got no idea what's waitin' fer us and we ain't in any position to follow 'em into a

hornets nest with jus' the four a' us, Jason."

Jason is quick to glance back through the cockpit door when Vicky speaks, Phil's comment drawing a set of nods out of him. "Exactly." he says, hoping to ease his own concerns- growing by the moment considering Vasquez' update- as much as Victoria's. Celyna's report doesn't exactly brighten things. That's one more lead down. Jasper's addition knocks the wind out of him a bit, but it's not anything he wasn't already considering.

"We're not gonna let anything happen to V. But-..." he sighs, the reality of the situation setting in, "...Jaspers right." he admits reluctantly, stepping back into the cockpit doorward, gaze sweeping over Phil and Victoria. "We need to regroup with the others. It sounds like we've still got one of Piros' people. Maybe we'll be able to pry some actionable info out of them..."

Leah is quick to look up at Zaylus once he drops down, splitting her attention between him and Natalie. She gestures in the direction of the batarian she has strapped to an exposed pipe. "He's secure but I didn't have time to take his omni-tool or check him for more weapons." she explains, facts that have been in the back of her mind since securing him. Unfortunately she's only one person and Natalie needed to be prioritized. The

sudden commotion outside that begins to spill into the stairs draws her attention and a hand instinctively shoots to the sidearm holstered on her thigh, but it's quickly identified as the arriving paramedics and she remains with Natalie so she can give them any helpful info. "Sounds like the medevac is here." she says, hoping to offer whatever encouragement she can to the wounded woman.

((doorway*))

Zaylus follows her gesture to their captive, nodding. He glances up as he steps away from the hole, presumably listening in on the militia's communication. He points two fingers at the batarian as he crouches down to relieve him of his omni-tool. "You better play nice." He warns, unkindly pulling his equipment from him before checking anywhere his armor could be hiding more. He spares

just a glance to the injured woman as the paramedics force their way inside. "Looks rough." He remarks unhelpfully.

Victoria slams her fist into the wall of the shuttle again after hearing Jason's words. She knows he is right but it chews away at her, knowing there is nothing she can do at this time. "I want in on the questioning."

Natalie only gives a soft nondescript hum at the news about the medics and she keeps focusing on taking careful breaths.

The hostile shuttle still shows no sign of changing course.

The dropped SMG is functional.

They hallway is cramped, especially upstairs with the stairwell and its railing taking much of the floor area, so they may need to hold the stretcher high as the round corners. It is clear, however, and the door to the apartment is open.

The restrained batarian is not in the way of the entering paramedics, and his visible injuries are far from critical. He just grunts at the request from Zaylus, but does not make any sudden moves as the turian removes the omni-tool, spare clips, 2 smoke grenades and 2 flashbangs from his armor. He also has a 2,000 credit chit in an armor compartment, like the asari.

Holly kneels down on the opposite side of Natalie from Leah upon taking stock of the room, shooting the biotic a brief look of acknowledgement. "What are we dealing with here?" she ask while deploying the stretcher on the floor.

The asari paramedic starts to perform a quick medical omni-tool scan while Holly performs the verbal query.

Celyna casts a glance around the street before wandering through the doorway. On spotting the abandoned rifle in the floor she grabs that too, performing the same check as with the SMG before attaching it to her back. Score! After this, she activates the looted omni-tool to start poking around.

Philip returns to silently listening in on the chatter from the cockpit.

Jason's gaze dips low at Victoria's outburst. It's hard not to feel like he let Va'ynna down, but he needs to shelf that for now. Dwelling on it isn't going to bring her back. "Guessing you heard Piros' little threat?" he reports over comms, assuming Vasquez was listening in. "I don't think she's good for it, but we're-... uhh-... we're still gonna break off pursuit." he continues, obviously not too happy with that decision. "We're

just at a disadvantage no matter how you cut it. If this is a long haul, we can't keep up and we're just wasting time when we're gonna have to eventually turn back anyway. If she's planning on setting down nearby, we're split and underequipped for an engagement. We're heading back to regroup with the others and see what we can find on-site."

Jasper frowns, far from pleased himself over letting them get away. But they don't have a whole lot of options. The Kodiak decelerates, listing slightly as they split off from the escaping shuttle to swing back around towards the town.

Leah watches as the medics file in and she's quick to fill them in as best as she can. "Multiple gunshots. Broken ribs and at least one broken bone around her shoulder." she explains. "Could be more but it seemed like a bad idea to remove her undersuit to find out." she continues, rising to her feet and stepping back to let them work, ready to give a (biotic) hand with the lifting if necessary.

Zaylus takes care to be sure he has everything from the batarian. The clips and grenades are added to his own gear, but he just holds on to the omni-tool for now. Someone will need to analyze it and he doesn't want to risk jeopardizing intel by poking around on it. He remains out of the way of the medical personnel, standing with the restrained batarian.

Victoria moves to the furthest empty seat that is away from everyone in the shuttle. She takes a seat, and her foot instantly starts tapping the floor out. All she can do is wait, and that waiting is eating away at her leaving nothing but anger and dread.

Natalie does not respond to Holly's question, and her vitals are trending in the wrong direction. The scan reveals a shattered shoulder blade and multiple broken ribs down the back on Natalie's right side, which has caused internal bleeding, and a bone fragment is too close to her lung for comfort. The gunshot wounds are all sealed by the medi-gel from the undersuit, and aren't causing any immediate concern. She is not

lost yet.

The downed asari's omni-tool is encrypted and prompts Celyna for credentials. The assault rifle is functional, though.

The hostile shuttle does not show any reaction to the Redrock shuttle breaking off its pursuit, as it keeps its current course, and will be out of scanning range very soon.

The batarian does not resist Zaylus removing the equipment.

The asari paramedic hastily reviews the scan and then shoots Holly a look. "Internal bleeding, we need to hurry."

Holly nods and takes an injector out of her medical satchel, grabbing Natalie's arm to locate a port and injecting the contents - a stabilizer meant to buy them time to get her into surgery. It will also offer pain relief, hopefully keeping her from thrashing about as she's moved. "Don't you worry, the doc will get you fixed up," she assures, offering the injured woman a brief, reassuring smile and moving out of the way so that

the asari can take hold of her with her biotics, gently floating her onto the stretcher with expert precision, aware that any wrong move could rupture her lung.

Celyna frowns at the lock screen and pockets the omni-tool once more. "Need any help up there?" she calls out up the stairwell, not bothering to clutter the comms.

Linda (Comms): "...copy that."

Philip lets out a sigh, frowning as he slumps in his seat.

Jason steps into the crew compartment fully and drops into the nearest open seat. He reaches up to his helmet- the seals clicking open with a hiss- and removes it, looking it over for a moment before dropping it onto the seat next to him. "Back to square one." he sighs, more an observation to himself than to anyone in particular. "We'll be back on-site soon. Leah, Zaylus, Celyna-..." he lists, "...make sure you lock that place

down. If the militia can't be bothered to track a shuttle that just launched an attack on the town they're paid to protect for us then they sure as hell aren't poking around until we've had a look. See if Piros' people left anything behind. You know the drill. Omni-tools-... whatever could be helpful in figuring out where in the hell she might be going. Maybe see if that new friend of ours is chatty."

Leah watches, waiting in the wings to help with a focused frown on her face. Once it seems like the medics have it handled, her posture relaxes a bit. She brings a hand up, cupping it around the side of her mouth to call back to Celyna, but pauses briefly as Jason's orders come through. "Sounds like we've got plenty to do up here, couldn't hurt to have another set of eyes." she responds to the asari downstairs. Turning to Zaylus

she draws in a breath. "I'm gonna sweep the apartment and make sure no one is hiding in any closets or anything. She said something about sending an SOS to some of Wenera's friends on the terminal-..." she cocks a thumb back towards the terminal in question, "...so we're gonna wanna check that out, too. And then, of course-..." she acknowledges the batarian restrained to a pipe with a brief flick of her green eyes in his

direction. "You and D'Kira can arm wrestle or something over who gets that honor." she continues.

Zaylus listens patiently, small nods of his helmet suggesting he's paying attention even if it looks like he's watching the medics removing their patient. He scoffs at her last point, casting what can be assumed to be a glare at the batarian captive. "Delightful." He groans, clearly uninterested in the notion. He gestures toward the terminal instead, taking a step that way. "Just

calling for help? Or trying to warn someone else they might be in danger?" He suggests.

Victoria remains seated, foot tapping the floor and looking at the floor.

Natalie remains unconscious as she is lifted onto the stretcher safely.

Mian jumps off the edge of the roof, quickly gliding down by biotics. She stands near the entrance, looking around for anything that moves.

The sky-car Mian arrived in starts flying west.

A quite damaged omni-tool lies among the rubble that was behind Natalie before she was moved.

The hostile shuttle remains on course.

The terminal is still showing the same projection as before: a long text full of technical jargon with 'MESSAGE ACKNOWLEDGED' in larger font at the bottom. Nothing stands out in the text as a message, but it is not all visible on screen. The device itself is quite rugged.

Holly activates the stretcher once Natalie has been placed on it, and together with the asari she moves their patient out into the hallway and down the stairwell, the floating stretcher adjusting as needed to descend, with minimal input from the accompanying personnel, Natalie kept steady atop it all the while. Foundation money at work.

Celyna starts making her way up the stairs, only to step aside against the wall as the paramedics pass with the injured human. Once they're past, she continues up to join Leah and Zaylus in the apartment. "Found an omni on the body. Locked, though," she announces to the two of them as she steps inside, taking stock of the situation.

Philip looks over to Jason as he takes a seat. He considers saying something, but instead opts to remain silent, looking out the window as he waits.

Jason seems to catch Philip's apprehension. "Something on your mind?" he asks as he removes his Revenant, setting it with his helmet so he can more comfortably sit.

Leah's gaze turns to Natalie being carted away while Zaylus speaks. There's that nagging question in the back of her mind that's running through the checklist, trying to make sure she didn't miss something. That she did what she could, however little that might be. Either way it's out of her hands now. And she still has work to do. "Unclear." she says, turning back to the turian. "She just called it a 'single-use SOS'. I tried to

find out what I could but she wasn't in any condition to answer questions. Could be a lead, though." she suggests, offering a small shrug of her shoulders before Celyna joins them. Mian's arrival doesn't go unnoticed and she silently points it out to Zaylus and the approaching Celyna, dipping her head in Mian's direction. "Our techs might be able to get into it." she muses. "I'm gonna give the place a quick sweep." she

repeats for Celyna's sake, assuming her and Zaylus can handle the rest.

((*east coast [late correction to 22:32 post]))

((:33 -Mian's arrival doesn't go unnoticed and she silently points it out to Zaylus and the approaching Celyna, dipping her head in Mian's direction ... +She greets the approaching asari with a dip of her head*))

Zaylus drifts closer to the terminal, quirking his head at the text string. It means very little to him of course, so he turns back nod at Leah. He then brings up the batarians omni-tool, gesturing it at the restrained man. "I bet you'd be happy to unlock this one for us." He suggests, only now checking to see if it's locked at all.

Victoria continues to remain in her seat, still foot tapping, still looking at the floor. Choosing to remain quiet for the rest of the ride.
