#HourglassClub – August 9, 2026

Yan Sun slows somewhere closer to the middle of the chamber, floating roughly two stories above the dancefloor she's left behind. Her hair is lifting from her head, spreading in a half halo here outside gravity's grasp. She looks almost like she's underwater, limbs spread for balance as she looks down at Jessica with a big grin. Thanks to some clever use of smart fibers, her skirt doesn't lift, thankfully, remaining in place and providing as

much modesty as possible with her airborne state. A closer look at the other clubgoers that occupy the three-dimensional space of the zero gravity dancefloor makes it obvious that almost all have chosen clothes with this in mind, those with dresses or skirts having opted for leggings or shorts to provide modesty, or tech similar to Yan Sun's in a couple of cases. One woman near the edge of the chamber doesn't seem to have thought

things through, though, and is stuck awkwardly holding her dress in place as she floats slowly by.

Jessica's eyes widen briefly as she seems to realize what's happening, arms shooting out to her side as if walking a tightrope while she ascends. But, strangely, the panic doesn't last. Blindsided by Yan Sun as she was with no warning or explanation for what she was about to experience, it should probably be scary. Downright terrifying, even. Instead, a big ear-to-ear grin plays across her face as she seeks out her partner before she

closes her eyes and leans back, allowing her body to slowly tumble end-over-end as she drifts towards Yan Sun. Maybe there's even a comfort in it. She's been in a free fall for quite some time, after all. Just waiting for the ground to finally leap up to catch her. It'll get its turn, but right now she has other plans. She does nearly two full rotations before she opens her eyes, arms out to brace herself against Yan Sun as

she slowly nudges into her. This close, her laughter pierces through the music and she brings one hand up, giving Yan Sun's face a squeeze - thumb on one cheek, index and middle finger on the other. "Got you." she snickers through her grin.

Yan Sun seems to delight in Jessica's reaction, watching her tumble closer. Her cybernetics light up and her left hand turns one way and then another as she makes strategic use of the fabricator's low-powered mass effect generator to stabilize herself in the air. She reaches out to catch Jessica and wrap her arms around her, giggling loudly as the light impact sends the both of them spinning, the chamber turning around them as other guests

continue their own ascents all around them, some soaring with the grace of swimmers or seeking out partners for zero-G dancing, while others flail and tumble wildly, stare in awe, or laugh and whoop. The ethereal turn that the music has taken complements the unreality of the moment, the floor below ever more distant. The glowing golden voxels around them have slowed their rise - fall? - and now, in the dark of the club almost give

the impression of a field of stars around them. Yan Sun 's grin returns despite the hand squeezing her face, and her eyes, one glowing bright blue and the other catching the golden light of the holograms, fix on Jessica's. "Sure did..." she agrees, almost inaudible under the music and the excited noises of the others on the dancefloor.

Jessica doesn't bother looking down. Or anywhere else, for that matter. Her gaze is firmly fixed on the woman in front of her, both of her arms shifting to slip around Yan Sun in turn as they spin across the chamber. An uncharacteristically bright smile accompanies the laughter spilling out of her as she leans heavier against Yan Sun, pressing their foreheads together, lost entirely in the moment.

Yan Sun 's gaze flicks from point to point on Jessica's face, taking in her expression with wonder. Some of her hair floats forward and tickles her partner's neck as she shifts to press a kiss against her lips, the chemical sweetness of the shots lingering in it. Their trajectory takes them near the edge of the dance chamber by the third tier of outer rings - VIP booths from the look of things - and there's a faint blue shimmer as a gentle

mass effect field nudges them back into the zero-G zone. A safety measure that keeps anyone from 'falling out' or hitting a wall. "Surprise," she says with a quirk of her eyebrows and a small, almost sheepish shrug of her shoulders as she pulls back from the kiss.

Jessica presses into the kiss, nuzzling the side of her nose along Yan Sun's when she pulls back. The exclamation cause a small snort to slip out of her. For a moment she seems at a loss for words, merely staring at Yan Sun, a giddy look on her face that's completely alien. "This is fucking awesome!" she finally manages over the noise, the word having slowly infiltrated her vernacular via Yan Sun. Arms still tightly wrapped around her

partner, she leans her head back to finally look at the glowing voxels all around them- as if only just now really noticing them- and seems completely unbothered by the fact that she's inadvertently caused them to tumble back together.

Yan Sun seems very pleased with Jessica's reaction, laughing warmly and joining her in looking around, although as their tumbling sends them bumping into another couple she flails slightly, half separating from Jessica as she lifts an arm in a placating gesture and offers a giggly "Sorry!" to the disrupted pair, who, for their part, seem more amused than anything - it's an understood hazard of the Hourglass Club.

Jessica's laughter only seems to grow as they careen into another pair, sharing in the pair's amusement as she shuffles through the air to regain her grip on Yan Sun. "You see? Even when the gravity is gone you are still clumsy, kitty cat." She teases through her grin, seemingly deciding that little mid-air collision was Yan Sun's fault as her shoulders continue to bounce with laughter.

Yan Sun 's outraged look is somewhat compromised by the laughter that slips out. "Me?! That was your fault, you jerk!" she exclaims amid laughter, although she does her part to reel Jessica back in, one of her legs hooking around hers to further entwine them. As if to demonstrate her point, her face scrunches up in focus as she ones again employs her cybernetic arm to stabilize them in the air with a few stiff, quick movements. It's hardly

flawless, but certainly more than most people could manage without biotics or an RCS.

Jessica is already shaking her head wildly in disagreement before Yan Sun can finish her sentence. "No, no-... is not!" she protests overtop Yan Sun, though the smile and laughter never fades. She seems to relent with her arguing when Yan Sun hooks a leg around her, her right hand moving to her partner's thigh, the rough texture of scarred fingertips that has become so familiar over the past few months felt through the gaps in the

fishnet stockings. The glow of her piercings- much like Yan Sun's light show- have synced to the music, swelling and fading with it. "Fine." she sighs, scrunching her nose up briefly, "Maybe is both of our fault. Mm?" she- gasp- compromises???

Yan Sun 's eyebrows rise in surprise. "Wow. Are you feeling okay?" she teases, before cracking a fresh smile. "Sure, both our faults..." she agrees as she presses close to Jessica, limbs wrapping further around her. She presses a kiss to her lips, and then another to her cheek, although the movement of her hair is determined to get in the way, floating between the two of them and getting stuck in her move, yielding a "Pfft!" as she tries in

vain to get it away.

Jessica gives a half-hearted roll of her eyes and curls her upper lip up, revealing the light glow from her tongue ring. But as Yan Sun is thwarted by hair that doesn't seem to agree with the lack of gravity, her expression turns soft, merely watching her partner's struggle for a moment. She lifts her left hand from Yan Sun's side, using her middle finger to slowly trace the edge of her hairline, corralling her unruly hair and urging it

out of the space between them. She gives a small, knowing tilt of her head, her brown eye shifting from Yan Sun's left to her right as her hand shifts to her chin, urging it upward. She studies her partner for just a moment longer, a fond look painted across her features, before she tilts in close and presses a far-too-gentle kiss wrapped in black lipstick to her partner's blue lips.

Yan Sun is caught off-guard by the gentle gesture, her grimacing efforts stilling as Jessica brushes her rebellious hair aside, eyes fixed on the face in front of her, illuminated in blue and gold from the mix of their lights and the ones that surround them. Her eyes are wide, almost a little startled by the sudden intimacy of the moment, although they flutter shut as she's drawn in, savoring the soft kiss, their surroundings, and the

people around them, entirely forgotten. There's just the two of them floating in space, wrapped in lights and music.

Jessica lingers in the kiss for a few moments before she begins to press heavier into it, one hand remaining on Yan Sun's thigh as the hand on her chin shifts, slipping down her neck. Then her shoulder. It travels a path down down Yan Sun's arm and continues to her side, fingers digging their way just beneath the bottom of Yan Sun's shirt to find purchase on warm skin. Her tongue draws shapes against her partner's, her piercing

intermittently making its presence known with its smooth texture. Weightless and entangled, they might as well be the only ones here as far as she's concerned.

Yan Sun 's chest vibrates with a pleased purr as the kiss deepens, her right hand finding Jessica's short hair and running through it as her left just holds her close. Her holographic vest is a glitchy, fizzling mess, the entire front of it distorted by the heavy contact, but she doesn't even notice. It's an easy moment to get lost in, and it's a relief to do so, letting the heavy, complicated emotions that have filled her return to her

childhood home feel distant and, for just a little while, forgotten.

Jessica's left hand slips around Yan Sun, working its way to the small of her back, pulling her in, urging her partner to press right up against her. The increased body contact in turn causes the kiss to grow in intensity as all of the baggage seems to slip away for both of them, left on the ground while they're up here, out of its reach. Her right hand begins to wander higher. Dangerously higher, thumb strumming across the weave of the

fishnet leggings as their intertwined bodies slowly rotate through the air.

Yan Sun 's skirt feels heavy against Jessica's hand, a strange contrast to the weightlessness of everything, brought on by the fabric's efforts to cling to its wearer. For a time, Yan Sun remains lost in the feeling of their entangled bodies, but inevitably coarse fingertips climbing higher brings her mind back to their surroundings, and she breaks the kiss with a breathless, slightly nervous laugh, the flush on her cheeks masked somewhat by

the club lights as her hand finds Jessica's wrist to gently pry the errant hand away. "We're in public. Extremely public!" she admonishes with another laugh. They're hardly the only couple getting a little handsy on the 'dancefloor', but they and everyone else floating around them is undeniably the center of attention of the rest of the club, the eyes of most clubgoers in the outer rings on the captivating sight of the floating

dancers as they chat and drink.

Jessica looks as though she barely even noticed just how high her hand had wandered. Pesky auto-pilot hands. Her shoulders bounce, laughter spilling out of her once more as she tilts her head forward, pressing her forehead to Yan Sun's shoulder and causing them to roll back listlessly. "Mm." she hums in acknowledgement as she regains her composure and pulls back just enough to pass a quick, exaggerated glance around, as if only now

realizing that, 'Oh, we are in public,' before meeting Yan Sun's gaze, hand retreating a safe enough distance to no longer be considered 'scandalous'. A big grin remains on her lips and she dips in once more, this time pressing a pointedly tiny peck against Yan Sun's lips and a second against the tip of her nose. "Is better, yes?" she teases.

Yan Sun pouts a little grumpily at Jessica's mockery, but the kisses wipe away her expression as her nose scrunches up, a smile breaking through afterwards despite her best efforts. "Mhm, I-" She cuts herself off as her attention is drawn by the unfortunate sound of a nearby man that's been struggling with the zero-G experience since the start finally reaching his limit and throwing up, the contents of his stomach forming a floating hazard

as they eject from the man, who's doubled over in a fetal position. Yan Sun's eyes go wide, and after a second's thought she adjusts her hold of Jessica, right arm wrapping tight around her waist as she extends her left and fires off a sustained pulse with her cybernetics to jet the two of them to safety. Meanwhile, a baseball-sized drone deploys from a compartment in the club's wall, and the bouncer below sighs and steps onto the

dancefloor, kicking off and weaving his way upwards with expert precision, gracefully dodging dancing patrons.

Jessica's focus follows Yan Sun's towards the horking man, forehead furrowing in amusement as she watches before her eyes suddenly widen when it becomes clear that they're right in the line of fire. She flails in place in a failed attempt at pushing herself and Yan Sun away when she's suddenly whisked out of the way. It takes her a moment to register what just happen, brow raising as her gaze turns from where they just were, to Yan

Sun's outstretched hand. There's a brief, wordless pause and it takes a moment for it to set in. But when it does, another loud bout of laughter erupts from her at the near-miss, causing her to sling an arm around Yan Sun once more to better retain her orientation. "This is-..." she struggles between fits of laughter before finally managing to get it out, "...maybe is the coolest shit that you ever do, kitty cat!"

Yan Sun doesn't seem entirely sure whether to be flattered or offended, but Jessica's laughter proves infectious, and she joins in, offering a humble shrug. ""I mean, I'm also an expert hacker, but sure, I'll take it. Couldn't let these new clothes be ruined," she says, playing with the front of Jessica's hoodie vest for emphasis. Next to them, the bouncer secures the nauseous man, while the drone swoops up to the vomit-cloud and begins to

glow as it activates a mass effect generator that pulls all of the floating particles in before it departs to deposit it in the compartment it came from. A highly efficient system - probably not an uncommon occurrence. Yan Sun spares the cleanup effort a quick glance before her eyes are back on Jessica, on the verge of another bout of laughter.

Jessica is in the 'lightheaded from so much laughter' stage, her breathing ragged as she clings to Yan Sun while the man is escorted away. She draws in a deep breath as her gaze meets Yan Sun's once more, grin pulling at the edge of her lips. "My fucking hero-...!" she only barely manages to get out before the laughter starts right back up at the ridiculousness of it all causing her to lean against her partner.

Yan Sun is brought right back into the laughter as Jessica starts up again. "You know it," she manages to brag with a wink before descending into a giggle fit, hugging her tightly and muffling her laughter by burying her face against the crook of her neck. Around them the golden voxel start to grow less aimless in their floating, slowly rising up towards the chamber's ceiling now, where some have already started to gather around the edges.

Jessica's laughter only seems to get worse as Yan Sun falls into a giggle fit of her own. Sides throbbing, she sluggishly attempts to clamp a hand over Yan Sun's mouth, hoping that if she's able to quiet her then maybe she can get a handle on her own laughing fit. She quickly gives up on that, however, her good eye watering up. She pulls in another heavy breath to try and get control, her attention following the upward trajectory of the

stars that have dotted the sky of the dance floor around them. Having something to focus on seems to help bring her back and, soon enough, she shoots a curious look Yan Sun's way between deep, ragged breaths.
