What is the Stellar Unity Gala?
The Stellar Unity Gala is one of the year’s most anticipated social events, and certainly the biggest upcoming event before the annual Lunar New Year Festival.
Announced in honor of Matriarch Trianis making her very first visit to Earth, the gala is expected to draw guests from across the Chinese People’s Federation and beyond, and will be happening on January 11th at the…
Who is Matriarch Trianis?
A noted luminary in the tech world, Trianis rose to fame in the 1300s thanks to her role in revolutionizing interstellar networking, laying the groundwork for the extranet that we all use today. Disciples of the Matriarch fill many senior positions in I.T companies galaxy-wide, as well as the Citadel Extranet Integration Commission.
Trianis is travelling with an extensive retinue of acolytes, and is expected to make stops at several of Earth’s most prominent tech hubs, including…
Corporate Heir Makes A Shocking Return!
One of the most surprising guests of tonight's gala was Yan Sun, daughter of tech billionaire Sau Sun and heir apparent to the SunTech empire. A supposed child prodigy fast-tracked to university, the reclusive Miss Sun has largely been kept out of the spotlight in recent years. Her parents have consistently declined to comment on her extended sabbatical from higher education, fueling rumors of everything from an extended illness to an interstellar elopement. The recent news of the passing of Xiaohui Sun, renowned cellist and the mother of Yan Sun, has put this absence into a new light.
"The truth is two-fold. I originally stepped back from university to be more directly involved in the operations of our company, but after my mother fell ill I spent the majority of the past two years caring for her," an emotional Yan Sun told a reporter from FED in an interview.
With a new year approaching, however, it seems that at 22, Yan Sun is finally ready for the spotlight, and what a debut it has been! Arriving at the gala arm-in-arm with Arysa T’Sara, the extranet was immediately set ablaze with speculation as to the nature of the relationship between the two.
Perhaps the most prominent of Matriarch Trianis’ acolytes to make the trip to Earth, Doctor Arysa T’Sara is one of the galaxy’s leading extranet archeologists, and has dedicated her career to studying the history and ramifications of Trianis’ creation for civilizations galaxy-wide.
At the gala she proved that she is no stuffy academic, however, arriving in a stunning golden gown in a Nevosian style, aweing the crowd with biotically articulated ribbons. That said, our city’s very own Yan Sun was not to be outdone by her date in the fashion department. A mixture of distinctly local flavor and technological edge, Miss Sun’s bold blue revivalist-style cheongsam truly gave the impression of a woman ready to live up to her father’s legacy, showcasing a sober strength and, thanks to the asymmetrical cut, an eye towards innovation, the SunTech heir’s personal usage of the company's cutting edge transdermal implants on full display.
[The article includes a photograph of Yan Sun arm-in-arm with an elegant asari maiden whose glimmering golden gown is decorated with ribbons that float in a halo around the two of them. Yan Sun is dressed in a dark blue, angular take on a cheongsam with a silver trim and a single black short sleeve. A glowing, geometric, electric blue pattern compliments the glow of her cybernetics, which are on full display. She’s wearing heavy makeup, but it’s softer than her usual go-to look, and her hair has been styled to fall in gentle waves onto her shoulder. Those small changes are enough to make her look oddly different from the girl that spent the past few months on Aite. More refined. Less expressive. There’s an almost flirty smile on her lips, but it doesn’t reach her eyes. Anyone who knows her could see the resigned sadness there.]
