#ConstructionSite – January 12, 2026

After leaving the night market they make a quick stop at a liquor store to pick up a bottle of floral-infused baijiu - it's a stubby, pink and green thing with stylized writing that the translator struggles to catch - and then it's off to Yan Sun's mystery destination. The walk takes them through busy central districts, and despite the late hour the city is no less alive, cars, drones, and pedestrians all in endless motion under the rainbow

lights of holographic advertisements, announcements, and artwork, which all shine brighter than the streetlights themselves. The place where they finally come to a stop is near the waterfront. A half-finished skyscraper. A hulking skeleton of concrete and steel, the lower floors encased in a cocoon of metal scaffolding and green safety mesh, and the top crowned by a massive crane. The metal fence that surrounds the building is covered in signage

that advertises 'Interstellar Commerce Centre coming in 2184'.

Yan Sun shoots Jessica glance. "Here we are!" she says as she starts to walk the perimeter of the fence. "Assuming nothing's changed in the last few months anyway..."

Jessica follows alongside Yan Sun, her own fascination with the city around them slowing their pace. Not that it matters. They've got nowhere to be. The sheer size of the sprawling city is more than a little overwhelming, and their trip is peppered with plenty of questions befitting a tourist as well as a healthy amount of plans to visit places passed on their journey. When they finally reach their destination, she looks up, scanning

the partially-finished building. It's a sight that brings an unsettling sense of familiarity. A reminder of that eyesore back home. An eyesore in that it was far less of an eyesore than the eyesore it was constructed within, like someone was trying to put makeup on a vorcha. But she doesn't let those thoughts take hold. A small smirk tugs at her lips as she reads one of the signs, gesturing to it with a wave of her hand. "They

are late." she says, a small, amused snicker trailing as she follows Yan Sun along the fence.

Yan Sun snickers. "Yep. Construction stalled a few years back because of funding issues or something. Guess they still haven't figured out who's taking over while I was gone," she comments, continuing to walk the perimeter, away from the busy street and towards the side facing the water. The wide promenade that lines the water's edge is largely empty at this time of night, aside from a few people on benches watching the glittering towers of

Hong Kong island across the harbour, or the boats sailing through - some modern and others antiques with sails. She comes to a spot at the site of another of the signs, taking a quick look around to make sure no one is paying them any attention, and then lifting it to reveal a hole in the fence underneath. "Here we go, get in," she instructs with a nod to indicate the hidden opening.

Jessica continues to follow Yan Sun, her focus occasionally torn to the sight across the water as she listens to the explanation. When they reach the indicated sign, she gives a small raise of her brow, amusement playing across her face. She grasps the edge of the sign to pin it in place, clearly not trusting Yan Sun to not let it slip and clonk her, and slips inside, never one to question a little bit of casual breaking & entering.

Once in, her hand clasps the edge of the hole in the fence to keep the sign in place for Yan Sun to follow. "How did you found this place?" she asks.

The area inside the fence is, as one might expect, a construction site. The ground is compacted dirt, and various containers, and piles of material still remain. The ground floor of the building itself has no walls whatsoever, little more than an arrangement of massive, reinforced concrete pillars rising from the ground. With no lights in the site it's far darker than anywhere they've been today, lit only by the ambient light of the city.

Yan Sun follows through after Jessica, helping her carefully let the sign down behind them. Her cybernetics glow in the dark as she tweaks the light-sensitivity of her cybernetic eye to make navigating easier. "The... the Little Dragons... we scavenged this place for materials to fix up our home..." she explains, voice quieter, gaze sweeping the dark, turned away from Jessica. She starts to walk after her eyes land on a cargo lift further

into the construction site.

Jessica continues to follow behind. "...Where we are going...?" she asks, also lowering her voice in turn. Her own vision isn't quite up to the same standards as Yan Sun, and she finds herself relying on Yan Sun's cybernetics to navigate in the shadow of the massive structure.

Yan Sun grabs Jessica's hand to better guide her along. As they close in on the elevator she spins around and flashes her a mischievous grin, her face illuminated in faint blue by the glow of her tech. "Up," she simple says, coming to a stop. The lift is essentially a metal cage attached to a spine running up the side of the building, partly concealed by safety mesh. "In this," she adds as she stops to poke at a control panel, bringing a

simple holographic interface to life. A small, pleased smile crosses her lips on confirming that it's still operational. The doors slide open with a creak and a shudder.

Jessica allows herself to be led by the hand. Yan Sun's words cause her to absently glance upwards. Her own grin mirrors Yan Sun's, barely visible in the dark. She scans across the makeshift elevator- or at least what she can see reflected in the city's lights- and seems to be considering whether or not this thing is a death trap. She pokes at the bottom of her front teeth with her tongue for just a moment, lest Yan Sun sense her

hesitation, before seeming to accept the unspoken challenge and stepping into the cage with her usual unwarranted confidence. "Now it is making more sense, kitty cat." she says with an exasperated sigh, swiveling back Yan Sun's way as she takes up a spot in the corner of the lift, "You are always just trying to get me all alone in an elevator again."

Yan Sun lets out a snort, smile widening as she joins Jessica in the elevator. The blue light of her implants does a handy job of concealing the faint blush on her cheeks. Maybe it's the pleasant evening, or the fact that they're on familiar ground, or maybe just that they're alone, shrouded in darkness, but she finds herself bolder than usual as she replies with an agreeing (and perhaps slightly sinister) "Maybe I am." The words are

followed by a smug, playful expression as the doors close behind her and the lift shudders to life and starts to ascend without her touching any buttons. She bites down on her growing grin, hands clasped behind her back as she shimmies her shoulders idly.

Jessica gives a hum. "Mm. I knew it." she muses. There's a brief moment where her hand shoots to the mesh to brace herself as the lift begins to rise without warning, giving the briefest hint of unease in her posture, but she's quick to brush it aside and shift into a more relaxes posture, adjusting her grip on the bottle of booze. Her gaze lifts, watching for a moment as they rise before her attention falls back on the woman in front

of her, grin lingering.

After the initial complaining the lift remains steady as it rises up the side of the half-constructed building. Outside the metal cage the construction site slowly fades into darkness below, the waters of the harbour and the lights of Hong Kong island across it instead taking up the view, although it's heavily obscured by the dense metal mesh.

Yan Sun giggles and, after narrowly avoiding stumbling from the initial movement of the elevator, makes her way closer to Jessica, hands reaching for her waist, only to slip around her as she cuddles close, nuzzling her shoulder, her movements slow and lacking heat, driven by a simple desire for closeness.

Jessica mirrors her, free hand slipping around Yan Sun's waist to pull her in close. It seems to help whatever unease was lingering, and she settles against the relative safety of the lift. There's no sarcastic remarks. No playful jabs. Just a soft kiss pressed against Yan Sun's temple.

Yan Sun turns her head to look out at the (still obscured) view, remaining pressed against Jessica as the lift continues its ascent. The climb becomes less and less obvious the further from the ground they get, less and less of their surroundings visible from inside the metal cage. Some wind starts to tug at their hair and clothes, and the air is just a bit chillier. And then it stops. The lift doors open into a concrete corridor, barren

aside from a tarp and a stack of empty buckets, and Yan Sun leads the way with an excited look Jessica's way, gripping her hand once again and activating her left hand's omni-tool flashlight to guide them forward...

Jessica seems content to just watch the distant lights as they continue upward. Once they arrive at their stop, she allows herself to be tugged out of the lift, Yan Sun's excitement seeming to infect her despite herself, causing her to give a roll of her eyes to balance it out but the grin on her face betrays her. She interlocks her fingers with Yan Sun's as she's led down the corridor, doing her best to scan the area with her limited

visibility.

Yan Sun stops as she spots another tarp, eyebrows furrowing. She lets go of Jessica's hand and reaches to tug it away, revealing a plastic crate underneath which causes a grin to cross her lips. "Perfect! Wasn't sure if this would still be here." She grabs it, having to keep a slightly awkward grip to still be able to illuminate the path ahead, and then proceeds around a corner, where the corridor opens up into a vast, empty space, the

entire rest of the floor just flat concrete floor, with no exterior walls. A far cry from the glassed-in office space this was meant to be. Just the bare bones of the intended structure. A handful of concrete pillars, much smaller than those on the ground floor, support the floor above, which is similarly featureless. Nothing separates them from the wide open air outside, offering a clear view of neighboring skyscrapers and, as Yan

Sun leads the way a little closer to the edge, the rest of the city across the water ahead. While the city's tallest spires still tower above them, the fact that they're at an equal height to the tops of many of their lesser kin must still mean they're hundreds of meters in the air. The buzz of the city is more distant, muted, all of it melding together with the wind and the waves into an odd stillness. White noise.

Jessica watches as Yan Sun collects the crate, a mix of curiosity and confusion crossing her features, but she remains silent for now. She follows behind her glowing partner but slows to a complete stop as they exit the corridor into the open air once more, looking more than a little taken aback. It takes her a moment to catch that she's lagging behind and almost doesn't even register that the laughter she's hearing is coming from

herself as she proceeds right past Yan Sun and closer to the edge for a better look.

Yan Sun stops at what she deems a safe distance from the edge putting the crate down and crouching down to open it up, paying little attention to the view as she gives the contents a quick look, but Jessica's laugh draws her attention, a fond smile on her lips as she watches her reaction. "Hey, careful, don't get too close," she cautions.

Below, the waters of the harbour stretch, glittering with the reflections of the buildings that surround them. The boats look like little more than children's toys from up here, and the cars on the ground barely that. Across the water, the entirety of Hong Kong island is visible. Massive skyscrapers higher even than their current point fill the business district. Sun Tower is there, and many other names besides - Eldfell-Ashland, Guanghui,

ExSolar, and more. Beyond them rises Victoria Peak, the mountain that sits at the heart of the island, greenery preserved on most of its slopes. It is topped by a lookout tower and a vast communications array. To the left of the business district sits a large cluster of walled in buildings with the telltale, sleek white architecture of the Systems Alliance. Above the city, the night sky is a muddy gray, interrupted only by occasional shuttles.

There's not a single star in sight despite the lack of clouds, a complete opposite to the intense astral displays of Aite's wilderness.

Jessica scoffs at Yan Sun's warnings, flipping her the bird as she steps closer to the edge. Her shoulders bounce as another bout of uncontrolled laughter slips out of her. "This is fucking crazy!" she calls out to Yan Sun without looking her way, any intentions of keeping her voice down quickly abandoned. Nobody can hear them up here anyway. Nobody besides the birds, and fuck the birds.

Yan Sun snickers. "Enough of a view for you?" she calls out as she pulls a blanket from the crate, leaving the rest of the contents where they are for the moment as she spreads it out across the concrete at the less hazardous proximity to the edge that she has chosen. She settles on a spot facing east, with Hong Kong island to their right, and more of the rest of the city in front of them and to the left. Ahead from this spot, across a bay,

is a vast cluster of oddly shaped buildings, many of them mostly glass, with anntenae and other, harder to identify tech, and to the left stretch vast concrete housing blocks, all identical, interrupted only by a couple of abandoned industrial buildings and the occasional, burnt-out ruin. Beyond this housing zone rise mountains, the sides of which are stripped of greenery, instead covered in strange stone or concrete terraces the

purpose of which is hard to discern at a distance.

Jessica continues to watch out over the city, oblivious to what Yan Sun is up to behind her. The question is met with a wordless shake of her head in disbelief. With her free hand, she digs into her pocket and, soon enough, is snapping off pictures, bottle of booze tucked under her arm. She remains by the edge for a bit longer, poking and swiping at her omni-tool before stowing it back away and staggering back a few steps to put some

space between herself and the edge before turning back towards Yan Sun. The ear-to-ear smile on her face is a foreign one. An honest one. Unburdened by any of the baggage she so often carries with her. Another snicker slips out of her and she finds herself castin another glance back over her shoulder towards the city as she approaches the spot Yan Sun has chosen. "This is-..." she shakes her head again, leaning down to set the

bottle down on the blanket before taking a position beside it. "...I never see anything like this, kitty cat." she says, an unintentional amount of honesty and sincerity in her voice, a sharp contrast to that usual mask of aloofness she so often wears.

Yan Sun smiles softly, reaching out to give Jessica's arm a squeeze. "Now you know how I felt when I saw the moons on Aite," she comments before bringing the crate over onto the blanket and sitting down next to Jessica. Inside it is a six pack of beer, a lone bottle of alcopop, a chunky battery, a box of cookies, and a pack of cigarettes.

Jessica snickers. "Mm." she hums, sounding unconvinced. The thought of showing Yan Sun around Adrasteia seems ridiculous now, knowing that she comes from a place like this. So vibrant and full of life and color. "My home is a piece of shit compared to this." she says, inadvertantly glancing out towards the city lights once more. After a moment she leans over to glance inside of the crate, brows pinching together in curiosity as she

shoots Yan Sun a questioning look.

Yan Sun shakes her head, letting out a faint snort of disagreement. She's on the verge of offering a verbal response when she catches Jessica's puzzled look, a brief laugh slipping out. "Once we realized no one comes here anymore we'd use it as a hangout spot sometimes. So... we stashed some stuff," she explains, reaching for the bottle of alcopop.

Jessica shrugs to herself and reaches in, helping herself to a beer. Unconcerned with the fact that it's an unrefrigerated beer that's been in a crate in an abandoned building for at least a few months, she hooks the cap onto her back teeth and cranks it off. "And what this is for...?" she asks, nodding towards the battery.

Yan Sun winces slightly at Jessica's trademark bottle opening, using her left hand to open her own bottle. She looks into the crate with a "Huh?" at the question, confusion quickly fading on laying eyes on the battery. "Oh. Charging. There's no power up here, aside from the elevator anyway, and messing with that is not a great idea, since it's the only way down."

Jessica gives a hum of acknowledgement before her attention shifts back towards the skyline and she lets silence take hold. "Martin would love this." she eventually says softly, almost as if to herself. Despite the heavy implications, the smile on her face is a pleasant one. Her gaze briefly turns to the label on the bottle in her hand, studying it for a moment before she takes a swig.

The label reads Tsingtao, an Earth brand that hasn't made it to Terminus. As one might expect, the lukewarm beer doesn't taste great after having been left in a box for an indeterminate number of months, but it's drinkable.

Yan Sun takes her sip from her bottle, and then shifts it into her left hand in order to give Jessica's hand a squeeze with her right, studying the side of her face silently.

Jessica doesn't seem all that bothered by the months-old booze. She's no stranger to skunky beer. Yan Sun's touch draws her focus that way. When she sees the woman studying her, she gives a roll of her eyes. "Mm?" she hums, smirk remaining at the edge of her lips, "What you are looking at?"

Yan Sun smiles a little. "You should know the answer to that by now," she says, leaning in to press a kiss against Jessica's cheek, trying her best to avoid any of the freshly pierced areas of her face.

Jessica snorts, leaning a bit closer to Yan Sun as she takes another sip of her drink. There's another bout of silence before she speaks up again. "So?" she hums, her tone playfully impatient, "We are going to open this or no?" Her eyes flash towards the nearby bottle of baijiu, grin growing. "I told you, yes? I am going to get you fucked up and steal alllll of your secrets tonight, kitty cat." she threatens.

Yan Sun snickers quietly, a bit of trepidation entering her expression, but she nods. "Go ahead," she agrees with a nod towards the bottle. "But there's really not a whole lot to know..."

Jessica is quick to set her beer down and scoop up the baijiu, mischievous grin on her face. Yan Sun's words cause her to narrow her eyes on the woman conspiratorially before issuing a threat: "I will be the judge of thith!" She seems to catch herself, a frown spilling over her smile as her lisp slips back out. And it seemed as if her strategy of talking slower and more deliberately was working so well for her! "Gah! Fuck yooou!" she

curses Yan Sun before she has a chance to comment on it, as if certain she was about to. With an annoyed sound she opens her mouth, pressing the tip of her tongue against the back of her bottom teeth and bridging her tongue outward in a futile attempt at exercising some of the lingering numbness out of it.

Yan Sun giggles loudly, Jessica's pre-emptive hostility only heightening her reaction. She just watches with a grin as Jessica messes with her numb tongue, saying nothing.

Jessica scowls at Yan Sun. "Mm. Keep laughing, slut." she continues to threaten. She shifts on her backside, swiveling to face Yan Sun, and removes the top from the bottle, giving it a customary sniff test before setting it down between them.

The contents have a floral scent to them, although it's nearly overtaken by the sharp smell of alcohol. It's definitely strong.

Yan Sun grins smugly. "Okay, I will," she says with a snicker, sticking out her tongue and shifting as well, mirroring Jessica.

Jessica gives a roll of her eyes, lifting a hand and waving her middle finger back and forth in Yan Sun's face. But she's unable to keep the scowl up for long and it soon slips away. "Okay, slut..." she continues to antagonize, "...you know the rules, yes?" She brings a hand to each of Yan Sun's legs, tugging her closer. The blanket beneath them makes it effortless, allowing her to easily slide Yan Sun towards her so the only thing

between them is the bottle. "You answer the question? One drink." she says, raising one finger and locking eyes with Yan Sun, as if these rules are sacred. "You do not? Two drinks." After a moment's consideration she shrugs and adds: "And you are a pussy." She leans back, planting a palm against the ground behind her to keep herself propped up. "I will even let you to go first." she says through her grin in a show of

confidence.

Yan Sun looks caught off-guard, eyebrows furrowing as she glances down at the bottle. "We're... drinking even if we answer?" she asks with a slight grimace. What has she gotten herself into?

Jessica's grin only seems to grow, turning a bit smug now that her opponent has shown weakness. "Mm." she hums in affirmation. "Is more fun this way." she explains. "The more you drink? The more you are drunk and honest." She studies Yan Sun before making a show of furrowing her brows and tilting her head, as if only now noticing her apprehension, "What is wrong?"

Yan Sun blows out a puff of air, eyes still on the baijiu bottle. "Uh... nothing," she decides, setting her alcopop aside and taking a bracing breath as her hands come to rest on her knees. "Oookay... uh..." She looks up at Jessica. "What was your first impression of me when we met?" she asks with a small smile, opting for something of a softball question. "Honest answer!" she adds as a reminder.

Jessica tilts her head a bit more as Yan Sun looks her way. The question causes her to give a small lift of her brow, but the reminder draws a scoff out of her, as if offended that Yan Sun would imply that she might lie. The nerve! "When I first see you? I am thinking-..." she trails off, as if unsure herself how that thought is finished. She purses her lips, glancing off to the side as if in deep thought. "...Annoying." she settles on,

grin slipping back out as her gaze once more settles on the woman in front of her. "I am thinking that you are being too friendly. Is creepy." She gives a shrug, as if to say 'You wanted honest.' After a short pause, she gives a roll of her eyes and reluctantly admits: "...And I am thinking that you are hot." Another pause follows as she studies Yan Sun for a moment. "I knew in maybe five minutes that I was going to fuck

you."

Yan Sun doesn't seem offended in the slightest by the answer, in fact she looks more amused than anything as she listens. The reluctant addition makes her grin, although what comes after that makes her look away from Jessica, the dim ambient light obscuring her blush, but not the faint, flustered giggle that slips out. "...I see," she manages, drawing in a breath to collect herself before looking at the bottle between them expectantly.

Jessica doesn't look away, amused as always that she's able to get that reaction from Yan Sun. She snickers and picks up the bottle between them, "Okay, is my turn." she says before taking a quick pull from the bottle, as per the established rules.

Yan Sun nods in agreement, waiting silently both for Jessica's question and for her assessment of the drink.

It may not be batarian ale, but it's obvious right away that the baijiu must have quite the high alcohol content - together with the floral infusion it tastes something like a mix between jet fuel and perfume.

Jessica is certainly no lightweight, but clearly seems caught off-guard by just how strong the drink is, possibly having expected to be let down by the recommendation of Yan 'alcopop' Sun. She doesn't voice her thoughts on it, but her expression is enough to give off the impression that she's pleased with the choice. Her brows pinch together as she takes one last sniff at it and sets it back down between them. She waits for the burn to

pass before speaking up. "In the past few months, you are ever having regrets about staying on Aite with me...?" she asks, amused grin right back on her face.

Yan Sun frowns at the question, ready to fire off an immediate response, but in the interest of fairness she holds her tongue and genuinely considers the question for a moment. Then, she offers a sincere "No", shaking her head. "Even when I was pissed at you, and unsure where this was going, I never would have given up my time on Aite. It was... eye opening. Something I'll always remember," she says softly, reaching for the bottle with a bit

of trepidation.

Jessica allows her head to lull to one side, a silent challenge to Yan Sun's initial answer that she seems about to call bullshit on. But as she continues, her own expression softens, suddenly feeling just a smidge self conscious over the sincerity on display. Rather than protest, she gives a quiet hum of acceptance. She brings a hand to the bottle, nudging it forward. "Drink." she instructs.

Yan Sun takes a bracing breath and then raises the bottle, taking a quick sip, face almost immediately scrunching up into a grimace as she lets out a hiss. "Blech..." she complains as she puts it back down. Clearly, her recommendation did not stem from personal enjoyment. Her eyes settle on Jessica again once they open, a thoughtful frown on her face. "Hmh... okay. Uh, before me, how many people have you... you know...?" she asks a little

awkwardly, perhaps forgetting that she's already asked that question months ago thanks to the generous amount of alcohol consumed at the time. Not that she ever received a real answer.

Jessica snickers when Yan Sun struggles with the drink, watching in amusement. "Pussy." she teases once the bottle is back down, giving her partner's leg a nudge with her own. As Yan Sun stammers over her question, she's quick to finish it. "Fucked?" she adds crudely onto the end, no doubt in an attempt at making Yan Sun feel just a little more awkward if she can. It's one of her favorite hobbies, after all. But after a moment's

consideration, she merely shrugs, repeating her previous answer, though with a bit less vitriol this time. "I don't know. I did not count, kitty cat." She shifts against her palm, studying Yan Sun, amusement still lingering in her expression as she tries to decipher the meaning of the question. "Why?" she asks, reaching for her beer and taking a quick swig of it, "Thith-... Gah! This bothers you...?"

Yan Sun does, of course, look just a little more awkward after Jessica "helps" finish her question. She fidgets uncomfortably at the 'Why?', but the addition that follows quickly draws out a hasty "No!", her eyes widening. "No, I just... you know, I haven't. Been with... a lot of people. And... I guess I wonder if you get bored?" she manages, shoulders hunched in on herself, obviously embarrassed by her own insecurity as she puts it into

words.

Jessica's brow lifts in that annoying, smug way it always does when she's amused. "Bored?" she says, as if she doesn't understand the question. "You are meaning-... with you, or...?" she asks, seemingly expecting Yan Sun to further clarify what it is she's asking.

Yan Sun just shrinks further in on herself, looking off to the side and offering a vague shrug. "I mean... I guess..." she mutters.

Jessica studies Yan Sun in silence for a few moments, letting her squirm. Thankfully, she seems to relent after a few moments, seemingly deeming it perhaps a bit too cruel to keep piling it on. "I do not know how many people I have fucked, kitty cat." she repeats with a sigh, "But I do know how many I have traveled across the galaxy with." Seemingly not wanting to let any sentimentality linger, her shoulders rise and drop in a lazy

shrug. "Why you are worried about this? Mmm? You think I am going to come all this way with you if I am thinking that you are shit in bed?"

Yan Sun looks even more self-conscious at Jessica's sentimental answer, the addition that follows making her let out an "Okay, okay, point taken!" through an embarrassed smile. "Have your drink already!" she says, giving the bottle a poke, eager to move on.

Jessica snickers as she reaches out for the bottle, but her gaze lingers on Yan Sun. "Do not worry." she assures, seemingly unwilling to let it go quite that easily. Not when she's got Yan Sun against the ropes. "There are still many things that I am wanting to do to you. I will not be bored for a lonnng time." she drawls before bringing the bottle to her lips and taking her drink.

Yan Sun sulks silently, cheeks burning as she waits for Jessica's next question.

Jessica lets out a breath as the burn hits the back of her throat once more and returns the bottle to its spot between them. She sits up a bit straighter, annoying smile still plastered across her face, and uncrosses her legs, extending one on each side of Yan Sun and allowing her to scoot just a little bit closer. "You are cute when you are all-..." she trails off, finishing her sentence with a vague gesture to Yan Sun's face, her

finger drawing an invisible circle around it as another amused snicker slips out. "Okay, okay, is my turn!" she says, as if just suddenly realizing. She pokes at her bottom lip with her tongue, absently playing with her new piercings as she considers her question. "Tell me something that you want to do that you did not tell to anyone else." she decides on, forearms coming to rest on her thighs.

Yan Sun 's face just grows redder, the darkness thankfully doing a good job of obscuring it, but her expression gives away her flustered state regardless. Jessica's question - or instruction, rather - is met with furrowed eyebrows. "I-... I don't know!" she exclaims, looking stumped by the broad question. "Uhm... hmh..." She falls silent for a moment as she struggle to think of things that she hasn't shared with anyone, but then she suddenly

freezes, the blush that had been fading returning in full force as she swallows hard. She tries to meet Jessica's gaze, looking on the verge of saying something, but then her gaze flits away, their increased proximity doing little to help things as she silently reaches for the bottle.

Jessica's amusement only seems to grow as she watches Yan Sun struggle. She gains a look of genuine curiosity as whatever the woman before her is about to say hangs on the tip of her tongue. So much so, that when Yan Sun reaches for the bottle, she breaks the sacred oath of the drinking game rules and snatches the bottle up first. "Nope!" she says through her grin. "What you were going to say?!" she asks, holding the bottle off to the

side and out of her partner's reach.

Yan Sun balks at Jessica's withholding of the bottle. "Wh-... h-hey! You can't do that!" she exclaims, voice just a little higher than usual. She reaches across the menace of a woman in front of her, making a frantic grab for the baijiu.

Jessica presses a palm against the side of Yan Sun's face to hold her back when she leans in, extending the bottle as much as she can. "Yes-... Gah! Yes I can!" she insists. "Is my game! Is my rules! Don't be a pussy! Tell me!" she demands.
